NAO Cloud – July, 9th 2020

New Features

• Import Visioglobe places as geofences.
• Beacons guidelines conformity: a new heatmap is now available, highlighting the areas that do not meet the radio requirements for the location engine. It is accessible under Positioning Database -> Density Heatmap

Improvements

• Site Creation Workflow:
  • The site creation workflow has been revamped, to empower the user with critical decisions (data storage location, services activation, …).
  • The geofencing service is now disabled by default, and has not manually be activated by the site creator.
• I/O transitions configuration:
  • Automatic definition of I/O transition node now based on the indoor area configuration.
  • Copy an indoor area to a different floor.
• Georeferencing:
  • Use a floor as reference to georeference another one.
  • Highlight image requirements upon import.
• Beacons deployment:
  • Move multiple beacons at the same time on the map.
• Beacons Life Status Monitoring:
  • Status (Critical, Unknown, Healthy) now explained in ‘Decisive Criterion’ column.
  • Beacon hardware model (V2, V3) now available in ‘Hardware model’ column.

Fixed Issues

• Ordering of beacons installation dates now based on time and not alphabetic order.
• Fixed issue where beacon monitoring statuses were incoherent.

NAO SDK – June, 26th 2020

• getnaolog() interface created to provide NAO logs in text format for Crashlytics reports for example.

• startlogging()/stoplogging() interfaces created to start/stop the logging of debug logs on a single phone, programmatically, instead of having to enable the debug on the whole API Key. These logs can then be uploaded to NAO Cloud using the uploadNAOLogInfo(), just like before.

NAO Logger – July, 7th (Android) & 15th (iOS) 2020

New Features

• (Android only) NAO Logger now prevents the user to install a beacon that has been replaced on the same site.
• (Android only) Show sensor availability/in-use status. Available under ‘Map Settings’.
• (Android only) Show beacons that contribute to current position in evaluation mode.
• (Android only) Show listeners around current position during tracking evaluation.
• (Android only) Show beacons in PDB count only, instead of any BLE device.

Improvements

• Better handling of the permissions.
• (iOS only) Improved synchronization.
