Authentication Guide

Overview

This guide covers the login process for NAO Viewer, including accessing the application, entering credentials, and troubleshooting login issues.



Login

Accessing NAO Viewer

1. Navigate to your NAO Viewer URL
2. Login page appears automatically if not authenticated
3. Enter your credentials:
   - Email: Your registered email address
   - Password: Your account password
   - MFA Code (Optional): If multi-factor authentication is enabled

Login Process

1. Enter email address
2. Enter password
3. (Optional) Enter MFA code if prompted
4. Click **Login** button
5. Redirected to application list or last visited page

Remember Me

- Browser stores session token
- Automatic login on return visits
- Token expires after period of inactivity
- Logout clears stored token

Login Errors

Invalid Login or Password
- Verify email is correct
- Check password (case-sensitive)
- Ensure Caps Lock is off
- Try password reset if forgotten

MFA Code Invalid
- Verify code is current (time-based)
- Check authenticator app time sync
- Request new code if expired

Account Locked
- Contact administrator
- May be due to multiple failed attempts
- Security policy enforcement

Troubleshooting

Cannot Access Login Page

- Check URL is correct
- Verify internet connection
- Try different browser
- Clear browser cache
- Disable browser extensions

Login Button Not Working

- Check all fields are filled
- Verify no validation errors
- Try pressing Enter key
- Check browser console for errors
- Try different browser

Redirected After Login

- Normal behavior
- Goes to application list
- Or returns to previous page
- Check URL after redirect

Session Expired

- Login again
- Sessions timeout after inactivity
- Security feature
- Save work frequently
